For 11 years, we’ve been promoting Paisley’s rich history, running over 80 guided tours and sharing the stories that make this town truly special. Now, we’re taking the next step—creating a dedicated Paisley Heritage Hub to preserve our history and bring even more visitors to the town.
We’re thrilled to have the support of VisitScotland, Glasgow Life, and Invest in Renfrewshire, who recognise the importance of Paisley’s heritage in boosting tourism and community engagement. Thanks to funding from The National Lottery and Firstport, we’re securing key elements of the project, but we need your help to make it a reality!
What the Heritage Hub Will Achieve
🏛 A Landmark Space for Heritage & Tourism The Heritage Hub will provide a central location for visitors, locals, and tour guides to engage with Paisley’s history year-round. A physical space means we can train new tour guides, showcase Paisley’s stories, and expand our walking tours.
🎓 Training New Tour Guides With 12 new guides in training, the Hub will serve as a centre for developing talent and providing high-quality heritage experiences for visitors. This ensures Paisley’s incredible history is preserved and shared for years to come.
🚀 Boosting Heritage Tourism in Paisley We’re working with VisitScotland to improve visitor experiences, digital discoverability, and travel trade connections, making Paisley a must-visit heritage destination.
📖 A Home for Research & Storytelling The Hub will provide workspace, storage, and research tools to help us uncover and tell even more of Paisley’s untold stories.
How Close Are We to Making This Happen?
We’re already at 71% of our £5,000 target—just £1,455 to go!
Thanks to the generosity of 120 amazing supporters, we’re getting closer to securing a permanent home for Paisley’s history. But we still need a final push to reach our goal.
